§ 211-44 Controlled Intersections.
   Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic-control signals, pedestrians shall not cross the roadway at any place except where authorized by this section. A pedestrian crossing or starting to cross any such crosswalk on a green signal shall have the right-of-way over all vehicles, including those making turns until such pedestrian has reached the opposite curb or a safety zone.
