353.05 USE; OVERTIME PARKING.
   (a)   When any vehicle is parked in any space alongside of or next to which a parking meter is located in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, the operator of the vehicle shall, upon entering the metered parking space when the meter displays a signal showing illegal parking, immediately deposit or cause to be deposited in the parking meter, a coin or coins of the United States, as designated in the instructions on the meter The metered parking space may then be lawfully occupied by such vehicle during the period of parking time which has been prescribed for that area or zone in which the metered parking space is located.
   (b)   If the vehicle remains parked in any such metered parking space at any time when the parking meter displays a sign or signal showing illegal parking, the vehicle is considered as parked overtime and beyond the period of legal parking time, and the parking of a vehicle overtime or beyond the period of legal parking time shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
   (c)   Each motor vehicle and/or motorcycle shall be parked in the meter space with the front end of the vehicle stopped parallel with the parking meter governing that meter space.
   (d)   No person shall park more than one motor vehicle and/or motorcycle at a single parking meter at any time. The motor vehicle or motorcycle parked nearest to the parking meter shall be considered the vehicle legally parked.
