351.13 REQUIREMENTS FOR STREET CLEANING AND SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS.
(a) Whenever the Department of Public Works is required to provide street cleaning or snow removal operations on any street in the City, the Department shall post barricades at the ends of such streets or at the nearest intersections prohibiting vehicles from entering the streets during the snow removal or street cleaning process. The barricades shall be posted at least an adequate time prior to such operations beginning.
(b) During such street cleaning or snow removal operations, no person shall park or cause to be parked or permit to remain parked or shall abandon or leave unattended any vehicle on any street or portion thereof so barricaded.
(c) Any motor vehicle parked in violation of this section or found proceeding through the above mentioned barricades is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and may be removed from the street and impounded at such place as may be directed by the Chief of Police at the cost and expense of the owner thereof.
(d) The Commissioner of Engineering or his duly authorized designee at his discretion shall be responsible for the implementation of this section.
