311.04 QUIET ZONES.
   (a)   Zones of quiet shall be located upon any highway within 200 feet of any hospital or school, or when requested by a physician in a location where one is ill. The zones shall be designated by official traffic signs and no person other than the operator of a public safety vehicle shall blow a horn or a whistle therein, or shall cause any other avoidable noise or clamor likely to disturb within such zones.

   (b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
