163.31 HAZARDOUS DUTY PAY FOR SAFETY FORCES AND DEPUTY BAILIFFS.

   (a)   The Police and Fire Chief and Deputy Bailiffs (Position Number 3300) of the Municipal Court, not included in any bargaining unit and designated as “Management”, of the City shall be eligible for an annual payment for the performance of hazardous duty.

   The payment of hazardous duty for each Deputy Bailiff (Position Number 3300) in the Municipal Court shall be in the amount of two hundred thirty-five dollars ($235.00) to be paid annually.

   Payment shall be made by January 15 of the year following the performance year for the number of months the employee is carried on the payroll of the safety forces.

   In the case of the Police and Fire Chiefs, they shall receive, notwithstanding the amounts received by the respective Police and Fire Department bargaining unit members as called for in their collective bargaining unit agreements.

   (b)   For purposes of this section:

   "Safety forces" means those employees of the Police and Fire Departments who are enumerated in the uniform section of the Police and Fire Departments' Salary Ordinance and Deputy Bailiffs (Position Number 3300) in the Municipal Court, not included in any bargaining unit and designated as “management” and Youngstown Municipal Court, Bailiff’s Section of the “Management” Salary Ordinance.
