163.08 DOCTOR'S CERTIFICATE REQUIRED.
   Employees may use sick leave for absence due to personal injury, illness, pregnancy, exposure to contagious disease which could be communicated to other employees and for absence due to illness, injury or death in the employee's immediate family.
   For purposes of this section, "immediate family" means mother, father, husband, wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers, sisters, children (natural or adopted) and grandparents.
   The department head shall require any employee who uses three or more consecutive days of sick leave to furnish a certificate stating the nature of the illness from a licensed physician to justify the use of sick leave.
   Falsification of either a written, signed statement or a physician's certificate shall be grounds for disciplinary action, including dismissal.
