121.01 MEETINGS.

   At 8:00 p.m. on the first Monday in January, following a regular Municipal election, Council shall meet at the usual meeting place, at which time the newly elected Councilmen shall assume the duties of their office. The regular meeting of Council shall be held in the City Council Chamber on Wednesday evening of every week at 7:30 p.m. However, Council in regular session may, by motion, rescind, delay or advance the next regularly scheduled succeeding Council meeting.

   No regular meetings shall be held from the fourth Wednesday in June to the second Wednesday in September, both inclusive. When any regular meeting falls on a legal holiday, such meeting shall be held on the day following, but Council may adjourn any regular or special meeting to meet at any time within ten days thereafter, and the Mayor, President of Council or any three members may call special meetings upon notice to each Council member, served personally or left at his usual place of residence. The notice shall be in writing, stating the time, place and purpose of the meeting. No regular meeting shall be held on Wednesday following an election day. (1967 Code §31.01)
