1503.14 FIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTION INSPECTION FEES.
   (a)    The Fire Chief or their designee shall have the authority to charge the property owner or other responsible parties for the following Fire Safety & Prevention services:
      (1)   Initial Fire Safety & Prevention Code Inspection: No Charge.
      (2)   First Fire Safety & Prevention Code Re-Inspection: $50.00, subsequent Re-Inspection Fees shall increase by $50.00 for each Re-Inspection.
      (3)   Fire Watch: Hourly or overtime hourly rate.
      (4)   Under Ground Storage Tank Removal and Above Ground Storage Tank: Hourly or overtime rate of the inspector.
      (5)    Commercial structure plan review: $50.00 per plan.
      (6)    Foster Home, Daycare Facility, Group Home Inspection: $100.00.
      (7)    Home Daycare Inspection: $50.00
      (8)    Hood Suppression Test: $75.00
      (9)    Sprinkler System Test:
         Under 20 heads               $50.00
         From 20 to 200 heads               $100.00
         Over 200 heads               $150.00
      (10)    Thrust Block/Underground Pipe Inspection:      $50.00
      (11)    Fire Alarm Test:
         Under 20 devices or panels            $50.00
         From 20 to 200 devices or panels         $100.00
         Over 200 devices or panels            $150.00
      (12)    Re-Inspection Fee for failed Life Safety Test   $50.00
      (13)   Tent and Canopy Inspection            $50.00
      (14)    Mobile Food Unit               $75.00
      (15)   Hospital                  $300.00
      (16)   School                  $100.00
   (b)    If a Fire Safety & Prevention Inspection is scheduled and the owner or other responsible party is not present the inspection shall be billed and the subsequent inspection shall be billed the increased rate.
   (c)    Re-inspection fees will be assessed when an inspector must return due to a failed inspection for any fire code- related work including, but not limited to testing of fire protective equipment, inspections for permit-required projects or certificate of occupancy.
   (d)    The First Re-Inspection fee will be waived if all required remediation has been completed. However, if further remediation is required, the next visit will require a fee beginning with the Second Re-Inspection Fee.
   (e)    The Fire Chief or his or her designee shall have the authority to collect any unpaid charges. (Ord. 19-129. Passed 5-1-19.)
