1309.04 DEMOLITION AUTHORITY.

   (a)    In the interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens, and the betterment of the City, the City has the authority to order and/or perform or contract for the provision of emergency and nonemergency demolitions.

   (b)    Authority. The Code Official has the authority to order nonemergency demolitions pursuant to Section 546.07. The Fire Chief has the authority to order emergency demolitions pursuant to Section 1525.01.

   (c)    Notice. Emergency demolitions shall require no prior notice to the property owner. Non-emergency demolitions shall be ordered after a structure is condemned pursuant to Section 546.07, and a Notice of Demolition is issued.
