767.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.

   (a)   No person shall engage in the business of conducting a public dance without first having secured from the Mayor or his designee, a license to do so, and without paying to the Mayor or his designee, in advance, the amount of such license fee as herein provided for each place operated by the licensee.

   (b)   Applications for public dances shall be made to the Finance Department on such forms as may be prescribed and shall contain such information as is reasonably necessary to a fair determination of whether a permit should be issued. The permit may be refused or canceled if the information contained in the application is found to be false, misleading or incomplete in any material detail.

   (c)   The completed application form signed by the chairperson or persons shall be submitted to the Finance Department at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled public dance date. (Ord. 04-290. Passed 11-17-04.)
