747.05 PREREQUISITES FOR LICENSE ISSUANCE.

   No license shall be granted to any person who has, within twelve months, preceding the application for license, been convicted of any offense, felony or misdemeanor, which prosecution and conviction grew out of or arose from a violation of the liquor, gambling or prostitution laws or ordinances. No license to engage in or conduct the business of a junk dealer, junk gatherer or secondhand store, as defined in this chapter shall be granted to any person not a citizen of the United States, and no license shall be granted to any corporation to engage in any of the various trades, businesses and professions as defined in this chapter unless a majority of the stockholders of the corporation are citizens of the United States.
