747.01 DEFINITIONS.
   The following words and phrases, unless the context shows another sense to be intended, shall have the meanings hereinafter stated:
   (a)   "Person" means a firm, corporation or individual person.
   (b)   "Junk" means any personal property which is or may be salvaged for reuse, resale, reduction or similar disposition, or which is possessed, transported, owned, collected, accumulated, dismantled or assorted for any of the aforesaid purposes.
      Used household furniture, used wearing apparel, used lumber, used brick, used tile, used plumbing fixtures, used electrical fixtures, used articles made of precious metal, used jewelry, used tools and other used articles of personal property, which are bought and sold as secondhand property and which are not handled as what is ordinarily called "junk" or salvaged material, shall not be included in the term "junk" as used herein. Without limiting the aforesaid definition of junk, the term shall include used or salvaged iron, steel, brass, lead, copper, ferrous or non- ferrous scrap metals, including aluminum, and other base metal, and their compounds or combinations; used or salvaged rope, bags, paper, rags, glass, rubber and similar articles, or property, and used motor vehicles which are used, owned or possessed for the purpose of wrecking or salvaging parts therefrom.
   (c)   "Junk dealer" means every person who buys, exchanges, collects, receives, stores or sells any article defined above as "junk".
   (d)   "Junkyard" or "junk shop" means any place at which a junk dealer buys, exchanges, collects, receives, stores, accumulates, sells or otherwise handles junk.
   (e)   "Junk collector" means every junk dealer who does not maintain or conduct a junk yard or shop but who in his own behalf buys, sells, exchanges or handles junk, and uses, in connection with such business, a motor vehicle, a horse-drawn vehicle or a push cart.
   (f)   "Secondhand store" means any store or place where its main business consists in the sale of used merchandise, old furniture, used chattels, including antique dealers, and flea market sales, except secondhand automobiles, goods and fixtures.
   (g)   “Scrap metal processing facility” means an establishment having facilities for processing iron, steel or non-ferrous scrap, including aluminum, and whose principal product is scrap iron, and steel or non-ferrous scrap for sale or re-melting purposes.
