731.08 LOCATION AND MAINTENANCE.

(a) When a license is issued, each such courtesy bench shall be installed parallel with the curb and set back, more or less, eighteen inches from the face of the curb.

(b) Each bench shall meet requirements established by the Engineering Commissioner in respect to safety and appearance, and failure to meet such requirements shall be cause for the denial of the application or revocation of the same if it has been issued.

(c) The licensee shall maintain each bench at all times in a safe condition in its proper and lawful location and shall inspect each bench at least weekly, in order that it may be properly maintained. Benches shall be kept at all times in a neat, clean and usable condition. Ice and snow shall be removed from the benches, and the vicinity thereof, in such a manner that each bench shall be accessible at all times. (1967 Code §95.70)
