549.12 FLOURISHING OF A WHIP.

   (a)   No person shall handle or flourish a whip of any kind in any public street, avenue, lane, public park or other public place or in any alley in the City. However, upon the trial of this charge, the defendant shall be acquitted if it appears that he was at the time engaged in a lawful business calling, employment or occupation, that the circumstances in which he was placed justified a prudent man in possessing such a weapon.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
