547.13 VACANCY; REMOVAL.

   (a)   Absence from three consecutive meetings or from six meetings during any calendar year shall operate to vacate the seat of a member.

   (b)   In the event of a death, resignation or removal of any person either as in a member, chairman or vice-chairman, his successor shall be appointed by the Mayor to serve the unexpired term for which such person had been so appointed. The unexpired term to which any person is appointed shall be considered as his first year term as herein provided, if the unexpired term has more than two years remaining.

   (c)   A member of the Commission may be removed for cause by the Mayor, but only after opportunity has been afforded for a public hearing before the Mayor at least ten days after written charges have been given the member by the Mayor and a copy filed with the City Clerk. The member shall be heard in person or by counsel and action of the Mayor thereon shall be final.
