For the purposes of this article, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this article are defined as follows:
(a) “Freeway truck” shall mean a truck defined under exemption from limitations by Section 35401.5 of the Vehicle Code of the State to operate on certain designated highways and freeways.
(b) “Terminal” shall be as defined in subsection (b)of Section 35401.5 of the Vehicle Code of the State.
(c) “Terminal route” shall mean a route which has been jointly determined by the Department of Transportation of the State and the County to meet the requirements of Section 35401.5 of the Vehicle Code of the State and has been included, either originally or by amendment, into Section 4-3.705 of this article and has been properly signed by the responsible agency which will permit the operation of freeway trucks.
