The Board of Supervisors shall make all appointments to the Housing Commission. The City Council of each city in which Yolo County Housing operates a housing program shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to nominate a jurisdictional member and an alternate member to the Housing Commission for the Board's consideration. The County Administrator may, but is not required to, nominate a jurisdictional member and an alternate member to the Housing Commission for the Board of Supervisors' approval. The Chief Executive Officer of Yolo County Housing shall nominate tenant members to the Housing Commission for the Board of Supervisors' approval.
To the extent the Maddy Act and any similar legal requirements apply to Commission appointments, the County shall take all necessary steps to ensure compliance prior to making an appointment.
