§ 32.011 CREDITED SERVICE; COMPUTATION.
   The service rendered by a member shall be credited him or her by the Commission in accordance with such rules and regulations as the Commission shall from time to time adopt consistent with the provisions of this subchapter. Effective 4-1-1992, 80 hours of service in a month entitles the member to one month of credited service and, for example, ten months of service in a year entitles the member to ten months of credited service, but no more than one year of service shall be credited a member for all service rendered by him or her in any calendar year. Effective 4-1-1992, unless otherwise eligible under § 32.010 of this chapter, if the Commission grants any additional credited service, the member granted same shall, within 90 days, contribute to the retirement system the actuarially computed pension contributions for the additional credited service granted which normally would have been paid by the member’s appointing authority.
