§ 152.101 REMOVABLE UNITS AND STRUCTURES; SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   Each removable unit of access structures shall be demountable and as a self-contained unit shall weigh not more than 200 pounds and have no dimension greater than ten feet.
   (B)   The height of the deck of any removable unit, or floor, walkway, stair, or ramp shall not be greater than six feet from the surface of the ground at any supporting bent.
   (C)   Supporting bents shall be constructed of treated timber with a top and bottom wale and cross bracing. The bracing shall extend outside of the vertical members at the bottom to meet and connect to the bottom wale at a point not less than 30 inches beyond the vertical members. Where proper anchorage is not provided by pile structure westwardly of the building line stability by cross bracing between bents shall be required as set out in § 152.097(B). Vertical members of all bents shall be buried not less than 30 inches below the surface of the ground with the bottom wale being not less than 18 inches below the surface of the ground at its lowest part; no part of any bent shall be buried greater than 48 inches below grade.
   (D)   The connections of all removable units shall be by pin-type connections using a minimum diameter 1-1/2-inch galvanized pipe or a minimum diameter one-inch galvanized bolt having large galvanized washers with suitable bolts or pipe caps as the case may be. All other fasteners shall be hot dipped galvanized nails, spikes, drifts, bolts, lags, or other acceptable fasteners as may be suitable or required to properly connect members.
   (E)   All removable structures, stairs, ramps, or walkways shall have hand railing in good condition in accordance with the building code on each side and at all terminations where proper access is not provided. The width of all stairs, ramps, or walkways and the number of risers in any flight of stairs shall be in conformity with the requirements of the building code in § 152.097(A).
