§ 152.097 REMOVABLE OR PERMANENT STRUCTURES.
   (A)   All structures which are westward of the building line and which are a part of an access system are not required to be removable; however, they may be removable at the owner's option. All such structures which are a permanent structural type shall be in conformity with all regulations of the building code of the town and the North Carolina State Building Code as amended by supplements and addenda for coastal exposure.
   (B)   Removable structures constructed eastwardly of the building line shall conform to all regulations of the North Carolina State Building Code for such structures as amended by supplements and addenda for coastal exposure and the additional requirements as set out hereinafter and shall be designed to support a uniform floor load of 100 pounds per square foot applied over all deck areas, live load, and shall be capable of resisting in lateral stability loads applied evenly along said structure in a horizontal direction of not less than one-fourth of the total live load for particular increment.
