10-4-20: EXCESSIVE NOISE PROHIBITED:
   A.   It shall be unlawful for any person or any licensee to operate or permit the operation of any equipment or device that amplifies, creates, or produces sound so as to generate sound having a sound pressure level greater than fifty five (55) decibels when measured from within any dwelling unit during the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) A.M.
   B.   It shall be unlawful for any person or any licensee to operate or permit the operation of any equipment or device that amplifies, creates, or produces sound so as to generate sound having a sound pressure level greater than eighty (80) decibels when measured at the property line of any property during the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) A.M.
   C.   It shall be unlawful for any person or any licensee to operate or permit the operation of any equipment or device that amplifies, creates, or produces sound so as to generate sound having a sound pressure level greater than seventy (70) decibels when measured from within any dwelling unit during the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. to ten o'clock (10:00) P.M.
   D.   It shall be unlawful for any person or any licensee to operate or permit the operation of any equipment or device that amplifies, creates, or produces sound so as to generate sound having a sound pressure level greater than ninety five (95) decibels when measured at the property line of any property during the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. to ten o'clock (10:00) P.M.
   E.   The measurement of sound shall be made on a sound level meter and shall be conducted over a period of not less than two (2) minutes. If there are at least two (2) readings above the allowed decibel levels, this constitutes a violation of the applicable subsection above. (Ord. 2018-17, 9-4-2018)
