A. The Fire Chief shall issue such general and special orders concerning the management and operation of the Worth Fire Department as he deems advisable, provided such general or special orders do not conflict with State Statutes, other ordinances of the Village or any collective bargaining agreement concerning full time firefighter II/paramedics. In the event of a conflict between any rule or regulation of the Fire Department and the general or special order issued by the Fire Chief, then the general or special order shall prevail.
B. The general and special orders promulgated by the Fire Chief shall provide for the discipline of all members of the Fire Department other than full time firefighter II/paramedics, the qualifications of part time and paid on call volunteers, the chain of command within the Fire Department, rules of conduct and such other matters as he deems advisable for the effective and efficient operation of the Fire Department. The discipline of full time firefighter II/paramedics shall be exclusively within the jurisdiction of the Worth Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. (Ord. 91-4, 4-16-1991)
