A. On January 10, 2017, the Illinois secretary of state certified that the city of Woodstock became an automatic home rule unit by population as of September 9, 2016.
B. Effective January 17, 2017, this code and any amendments thereto constitute an exercise of the city's home rule powers and functions as granted under article VII, section 6, of the constitution of the state of Illinois. (Ord. 17-O-01, 1-17-2017)
