All security systems shall be subject to inspection, testing and maintenance in accordance with NFPA 731/2008 edition, as amended from time to time. The responsibility for completing inspection, testing and maintenance is found in section 10.1.3 of said NFPA 731. Inspection, testing and maintenance shall be documented in accordance with section 10.6.2.3 of said NFPA 731. Documented annual test results shall be provided to the city as part of the annual registration renewal. While the city will repair and maintain its network equipment, including the radio transceiver at the subscriber's location, it is the responsibility of owner of the security system within the premises to provide the required inspection, testing and maintenance of the security system at their own expense.
