§ 854.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   HAWKER and PEDDLER. Any person who sells or offers for sale, from motor vehicles or otherwise, any goods, wares, merchandise, produce or supplies on any street by outcry, by attracting the attention of persons by exposing his or her goods in a public place, or by placards, labels or signals.
   (b)   SOLICITOR. Any person who travels from place to place or from house to house about the Village soliciting orders for services, goods, wares, merchandise, produce or supplies for future delivery, or making direct sales of services, goods, wares, merchandise, produce or supplies.
