(a) The Economic Development Committee shall be composed of nine members selected as follows:
(1) Four members on the Committee shall be selected from the business community in the Village.
(2) Two members of the Committee shall be residents of the Village.
(3) Two members of the Committee shall be members of Council.
(4) The Village Manager shall be a member of the Committee.
(b) For the first year of the existence of the Committee, two members shall be selected from the business community of the Village and one Councilperson shall be selected, all of whom shall be appointed for one year. Further, two members of the business community and one other Councilperson shall be appointed to the Committee for a term of two years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be made for two-year terms, and three people shall be appointed each year.
(c) Members of the business community and the residents of the Village shall be appointed to the Committee by the Mayor with the concurrence of Council. The members of the Committee who are Councilpersons shall be appointed by Council.
