(A) All residences, mobile homes, offices and businesses, and also including all structures with telephone service, in Woodford County, are hereby required to have visible and legible on the structure, or on a signpost in close proximity to the structure, the numbered address of the structure corresponding to the street or road (public or private) on which the structure is located, as listed by the United States Postal Service.
(B) The numbered addresses of each structure shall be displayed with numbers at least 3 inches high and 1/2 inch wide.
(C) The numbers shall be displayed so as to be clearly visible and legible from the approaching emergency vehicles.
(D) The numbers shall be affixed to the structure or upon a post which is visible from the approaching emergency vehicles and able to withstand the elements.
(E) The owner of each residence, office or business shall be responsible for placement of each numbered address on his or her property within 60 days of the passage of this chapter, or within 10 days of new occupancy, if the new occupancy occurs after the initial 60-day grace period.
(F) If the numbered address is not properly placed within the aforementioned time period, the county may, in its discretion, through a duly designated representative of the Woodford County Judge/Executive’s office, send written notice to the owner, occupant or building manager of the property, requiring placement of the numbered address on the property within 10 days.
