A. License; Permit for Each Job. No person shall plant, remove, trim, spray or otherwise treat any tree in any street, parkway or other public place within the Village without a license or without a permit for each such job in accordance with Section 12.28.010 of this code.
B. Fee and Bond. If the application for such license shall be approved by the Director of Engineering, upon the payment of the license fee required and the filing of a bond, conditioned upon the faithful performance of such work under the control and supervision of the Director of Engineering, and agreeing to hold the Village, its officers, agents and employees harmless of any and all damages for the injuries to property or to any person, or for death resulting directly or indirectly from the planting, removing, trimming, spraying or otherwise treating such trees, the Village Manager shall issue the license. In lieu of the bond, the applicant may furnish evidence that he or she is covered for the license period by valid insurance in a company approved by the Director of Engineering, conditioned to give the same protection to the Village and the public as the bond.
