10-9-7: SCHEDULE OF OFF STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS:

Single-family detached and attached dwellings
 
2 parking spaces for each dwelling unit; except, that in the case of lots of record existing prior to February 13, 1986, which are no more than 60 feet in width and located in an R-5 district with respect to single-family attached dwellings only, the driveway may be considered as providing 1 of the required parking spaces per dwelling unit. No dwelling shall be added to or remodeled if such addition or remodeling will decrease the existing off street parking spaces required herein

Business commercial uses, as follows:
 
 
Automobile laundry self-service or roll over
 
1 parking space for each 2 employees, plus 1 parking space per each manager, plus 2 stacking spaces per each washing bay at the entrance to each manual car wash bay
 
Automobile service station
 
1 parking space for each 2 employees
 
Bed and breakfasts
 
Same requirements for the applicable dwelling unit type based on the residence district in which it is located, plus 1 parking space for each designated guest or sleeping room or suite
 
Bowling alleys
 
5 parking spaces for each alley, plus such additional spaces as may be required herein for affiliated uses - bars, restaurants and the like
 
Drive-in banks or other drive-in establishments
 
7 stacking spaces per drive-through unit
 
Furniture and appliance stores, household equipment or furniture repair shops
 
1 parking space for each 600 sq. ft. of gross floor area, plus 1 parking space for each employee
 
Hotels
 
1 parking space for each 1 occupancy unit, plus 1 space for each 2 employees on the largest shift, plus additional required spaces for dining, lounge, retail space and any other compatible permitted uses
 
Lodging, rooming and boarding houses
 
1 parking space for each lodging room, plus 1 space for the owner or manager and employee
 
Manufacturing uses or any establishments in production, processing, cleaning, servicing, testing or repair of materials, goods or products
 
1 parking space for each 2 employees, plus 1 space for each vehicle used in the conduct of the enterprise
 
Medical or dental clinics or offices
 
5 parking spaces per each 1,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area
 
Motels, inns and auto courts
 
1 parking space for each guest or sleeping room or suite, plus 1 additional space for the owner or manager and 1 space for each 2 employees for the largest shift
 
Motor vehicle sales and machinery sales
 
1 parking space for each 300 sq. ft. of floor area
 
Offices: business, professional, excluding medical or dental, and governmental

Theaters (indoors)/nonrestaurant live entertainment
 
1 parking space for 3 seats in the theater
 
Tunnel with conveyor
 
1 parking space per each 2 employees, plus 1 parking space per each manager, plus 15 parking spaces
 
Undertaking establishments, funeral parlors
 
10 parking spaces for each chapel or parlor, plus 1 parking space for each funeral vehicle maintained on the premises
 
Warehouses and storage buildings
 
1 parking space for each 2 employees, plus 1 space for each vehicle used in the conduct of the enterprise
 
Wholesale establishments (but not including warehouses and storage buildings other than accessory)
 
1 parking space for each 600 sq. ft. of gross floor area in excess of 4,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area
C.
Community service uses, as follows:
 
 
Church, school, college and other institutional auditoriums
 
1 parking space for each 3 auditorium seats. Adequate space shall also be provided for buses used in connection with the activities of the institution, and all loading and unloading of passengers shall take place upon the premises unless otherwise recommended by the plan commission and approved by the village board of trustees
 
Health centers, government operated
 
5 parking spaces for each staff and visiting doctor, plus 1 parking space for each employee
 
Hospitals
 
1 parking space for each 2 hospital beds, plus 1 parking space for each 2 employees (other than staff doctors), plus 1 parking space for each doctor assigned to the staff
 
Libraries, art galleries and museums; public
 
2 parking spaces for each 1,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area
 
Public utility and other public service uses (as listed within the residence districts, excluding libraries)
 
1 parking space for each 3 employees, plus spaces adequate in number, as determined by the zoning administrator, to service the public
 
Recreation facilities, community centers
 
2 parking spaces for each 1,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area. For outside facilities, parking space requirements shall be determined by the village board upon recommendation of the plan commission
 
Schools:
 
 
 
 
Colleges, universities and business, professional and trade schools
 
1 parking space for each 3 employees, and 1 parking space for each 4 students based on the maximum number of students attending classes on the premises at any 1 time during any 24 hour period
 
 
Elementary and junior high
 
1 parking space for each faculty member and each full time employee, plus 1 parking space for each 15 students based on the design capacity
 
 
High schools
 
1 parking space for each faculty member and each full time employee, plus 1 parking space for each 5 students based on the design capacity of the facility
D.
Places of assembly, as follows:
 
 
Stadiums, arenas, auditoriums (other than church, college or institutional schools), convention halls, dance halls, exhibition halls, skating rinks and other similar places of assembly
 
Parking spaces equal in number to 25% of the capacity in persons shall be provided

Miscellaneous uses, as follows:
 
 
Fraternities, sororities and dormitories
 
1 parking space for each 5 active members, plus 1 parking space for the manager thereof
 
Group care homes
 
1 parking space per 800 sq. ft. of gross floor area
 
Home business offices
 
Parking space requirements shall be determined by the village board upon recommendation of the plan commission
 
Home daycare facilities
 
1 parking space per 800 sq. ft. of gross floor area
 
Institutions for the care of the insane or retarded
 
1 parking space for each staff doctor, plus spaces adequate in number, as determined by the zoning administrator, to service the visiting public
 
Mixed uses
 
When 2 or more uses are located on the same zoning lot within the same buildings, parking spaces equal in number to the sum of the separate requirements for each such use shall be provided. No parking spaces or portion thereof shall serve as a required space for more than 1 use unless otherwise authorized by the village board of trustees after due consideration by the plan commission
 
Nursery schools and business daycare facilities
 
1 parking space for each teacher and employee, plus 1 parking space for each 10 students for joint parking. Stacking spaces shall be provided off the public right of way for not less than 10 vehicles for pick up and/or drop off of students. Additional off street parking and vehicle stacking spaces may be approved by the village board upon recommendation by the plan commission, based on the design of the facility
 
Private clubs and lodges (without sleeping facilities for guests)
 
2 parking spaces per 1,000 sq. ft. of gross floor area
 
Rest homes and nursing homes
 
1 parking space for each 4 beds, plus 1 parking space for each 2 employees (other than staff doctors), plus 1 parking space for each doctor assigned to the staff
 
Sanatoriums, convalescent homes or institutions for the aged or for children
 
1 parking space for each 4 beds, plus 1 parking space for each 2 employees (other than staff doctors), plus 1 parking space for each doctor assigned to the staff
 
Other uses
 
Parking spaces for other permitted uses not listed above shall be provided in accordance with requirements designated by the code enforcement officer and in the case of special uses as recommended by the plan commission and required by the president and board of trustees
