An area indicated on the official zoning map as a public park, recreation area, public school site, cemetery or other similar open space, including those areas approved as part of the final plan for a planned development, shall not be used for any other purpose than that which is designated by the map. The village board may, upon recommendation by the plan commission, approve an amendment to a planned development to discontinue an approved use and allow for other uses only if the proposed amendment meets one or more of the criteria required for an amendment to an approved planned development special use under section 10-10-4 of this title.
