9-8-1: PURPOSE:
These regulations are designed to ameliorate the public health, safety and welfare issues associated with new construction in proximity to populated areas of the village. The public health, safety and welfare concerns include:
   A.   Lack of information for the general public regarding the status of building construction projects;
   B.   Erosion and damage to trees and vegetation that can result from improper storage of excavated soils;
   C.   Falling hazards due to unprotected excavations;
   D.   Depositing dirt and debris on or near the public road;
   E.   Lack of proper sanitation facilities for building construction workers;
   F.   Improper disposal and containment of litter associated with the construction;
   G.   Disturbance of the peace of existing neighborhood residents; and
   H.   Hazardous parking and deliveries associated with construction that disturb the normal traffic flow on local streets or pose risks to other motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. (Ord. 2007-2-6, 2-1-2007)
