9-5-1: DEFINITIONS:
As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:
BUILDING LINE: The line described by the side of the principal building closest to the adjoining lot line.
DECORATIVE FENCE: Any fence not in excess of forty two inches (42") in height constructed of wrought iron, split rails or pickets which does not totally enclose a yard.
GARDEN FENCE: Any fence not exceeding four feet (4'), designed to enclose a garden for the purposes of protecting vegetables and plants.
LANDSCAPE FENCE: Any fence that does not totally enclose an area and is not more than twenty feet (20') in total length measured by adding together the length of the fence in each direction that it extends not more than ten feet (10') in length in any one direction.
LOT LINE AND CORNER LOT: As defined in the Winfield Zoning Ordinance, section 10-1-4 of this Code.
MAJOR ARTERIAL HIGHWAY: A highway with four (4) or more lanes of traffic and an average traffic volume in excess of fifteen thousand (15,000) vehicles per twenty four (24) hours and a speed limit of forty (40) miles per hour. (Ord. 671, 8-22-1984; amd. Ord. 91-10-4; 1994 Code)
