The commissioner or Public Protection is hereby authorized to determine, from time to time, which streets are of sufficient width to permit angle parking and after determination that such parking is in the best interests of orderly movement of traffic, of optimum use of available parking space and of public safety may be written authorization, filed with the City Clerk, designate such areas as angle parking only.
"Angle Parking" as used herein shall mean that any vehicle parked within such an area shall be parked with the right front wheel of said vehicle against the curb, or as near thereto as practical, with the angle formed between the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the curb line so the right-hand side of the vehicle not more than 70 degrees nor less than 50 degrees. Within such areas designated for angle parking, no other manner of parking shall be permitted.
No vehicle or combination of vehicles with a maximum overall length of more than twenty (20) feet shall be parked in an area designated for angle parking.
Any area designated for angle parking shall be signed as required by Section 5-3-6 of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Winchester, and applicable laws of the State of Idaho.
This section shall not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles in specified places or at specified times.
