As used in this chapter, "event center" means a place where any group of people gathers for the purpose of eating, drinking, hosting events or meetings, playing games or socializing indoors or outdoors, whether such people gather as individuals or members, guests or friends of a group or organization, or both, and for which a charge is made to an individual, group or organization for authorization to conduct said event, gathering, or party on the premises, or to which admission may be gained with or without the payment of a fee, charge or consideration.
