(a) The following guidelines shall be utilized for inspections of sidewalks:
(1) Any public sidewalk block(s) that exhibit multiple cracks of one-quarter inch (1/4") or more; or which exhibit spalling, deterioration or pitting shall be replaced. Patching shall be prohibited.
(2) Any public sidewalk block(s) whose vertical edges differ by one-half inch (½”) or more shall be replaced.
(3) Any public sidewalk block(s) which hold water shall be replaced.
(4) Any public sidewalk(s) that exhibit heaving by tree roots shall be replaced.
(5) Asphalt shall not be permitted for public sidewalk repair or replacement.
(b) The following guidelines shall be utilized for inspections of aprons:
(1) Apron block(s) which exhibit multiple cracks of one-quarter inch (1/4") or more shall be replaced.
(2) Apron blocks which exhibit loose and deteriorating sections shall be replaced. Patching shall be prohibited.
(3) Apron block(s) whose vertical edges differ by one inch or more shall be replaced.
(4) Asphalt shall not be permitted for apron block repair or replacement.
