1505.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter, words shall have their common and ordinary meanings, unless they are technical words, in which case they shall have their technical meanings except that the following are specifically defined:
   (a)   “Carbon monoxide detector” means a device designated to detect the presence of carbon monoxide gas from any source of combustion and to emit an alarm upon detection.
   (b)   “Multiple dwelling” means a building containing:
      (1)   Three or more dwelling units; or
      (2)   Two or more dwelling units above the first or ground floor; or
      (3)   One or more dwelling units if the building also contains a use other than a dwelling use or an area designed for such other use.
   (c)   “Smoke detector” means a device which is designated to detect the visible and invisible products of combustion and emit an alarm upon detection.
