(a) In the event that either a sidewalk or apron is in violation of the regulations set forth in Section 903.16, the Chief Building Inspector or their designee, or the Service Director shall notify the owner of the real property, in writing, of the specific violation thereof, and the time within which the repair must be made, by delivering the notice of violation to the resident, or by posting said notice of violation on the door of the residence.
(b) In the event that the resident of the real property referenced in subsection (a) is not the owner of the real property, the Chief Building Inspector or their designee, or the Service Director shall notify the real property title owner, or the designated agent of the real property title owner, in writing, of the specific violation thereof, and the time within which the repair must be made, by delivering a copy of said notice of violation by regular U.S. mail.
