Whoever violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with, or resists or opposes the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter, except when otherwise specifically provided, shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the first offense, and not less than three hundred dollars ($300.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the second and each subsequent offense, in any 180-day period, or shall be imprisoned for not more than six months, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which such person continues or permits any such violation to continue or when failure to comply is permitted to exist after notification thereof.
