(a) A person who violates any provision of this chapter or any requirement of a special event permit is guilty of a separate offense for each day or part of a day during or on which the violation is committed or continued.
(b) Each offense is punishable by a fine not to exceed:
(1) Two thousand dollars ($2,000) for any violation of a provision of this chapter or a requirement of a special event permit governing fire safety, zoning or public health and sanitation, including dumping of refuse; or
(2) Five hundred dollars ($500.00) for any other violation of this chapter or of a requirement of a special event permit.
