(a) There is hereby created the position of Assistant Recreation Director, who shall be a person appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the members of Council, and shall serve for a term of two years. The Assistant Recreation Director shall assist the Director of Recreation in carrying out all of the duties set forth in the Charter and Ordinances of the City. The Director of Recreation shall create further and specific duties of the Assistant Recreation Director through written job description.
(b) The Assistant Recreation Director shall be compensated, commencing January 1, 2006, at the bi-weekly rate of one thousand five hundred and ninety-six dollars and fifteen cents ($1,596.15).
