All City employees are prohibited from participating in the following:
(a) Authorizing a public contract, or using his position to secure authorization of a contract for himself, a family member or a business associate;
(b) Authorizing or using his position to secure the authorization of the investment of public funds in any share, bond, mortgage or other security to benefit himself, a family member or a business associate;
(c) Receiving any benefit from a contract entered into by the public entity with which he is connected;
(d) Hiring or securing any contract benefits for his spouse, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren or siblings, or any other relatives living with him;
(e) Soliciting or accepting things of value, including gifts, or travel, meals and lodging;
(f) Participating in matters where the public official or employee has a conflict of interest, i.e. where something of value will result for himself, his family, his business associates or others with whom the public servant has a relationship that could impair his objectivity;
(g) Disclosing or using confidential information;
(h) Representing parties, before any public agency, in a matter in which he was involved as a public servant, both during and for one year after leaving public service.
