The Mayor, for at least three (3) years prior to his or her election, shall have been continuously, and during his or her term of office shall continue to be, a resident of the Municipality and a qualified elector thereof. He or she shall not hold any other public office or public employment, except as otherwise provided in this Charter, and except that of notary public, or member of the State militia or the reserve corps of the armed forces of the United States unless called to full-time military service therein for a period exceeding thirty (30) consecutive days.
