SECTION 4.1. TERM OF OFFICE.

The Mayor shall be elected at the regular Municipal election in the year 2007 and every fourth year thereafter for a term of four (4) years; shall assume office on the first day of January immediately following his or her election; and shall serve until his or her successor is elected and qualified.
