The Council shall choose such employees and officers of its own body as it shall deem necessary, other than a Clerk of Council. The Director of Finance as the Clerk of Council shall keep the journal of the Council and its records and perform such other duties as may be required by ordinance or resolution. All such officers and employees, other than the Clerk, chosen by the Council, shall serve during the pleasure of Council.
