(a) All employees, except those outlined below in subsection (b), shall be entitled to compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their hourly rate for hours worked in excess of forty hours (40) in any one work period. For the purpose of computing overtime pay, holidays, funeral days, and vacation days (but not sick days) shall be counted as days worked.

(b) The following classes of employees shall not be eligible for overtime compensation:
(1) Elected Officials;
(2) Members of the personal staffs of elected officials;
(3) Directors of departments;
(4) Chief of the Police Department;
(5) Captain of the Police Department;
(6) Chief of the Fire Department;
(7) Full-time Assistant Fire Chief;
(8) Assistant Finance Director;
(9) Building Inspector;
(10) Recreation Coordinator;
(11) All employees other than those referred to in subsection (b), (c) and (e) of this section.

(c) Members of the Police and Fire Department, other than the Chiefs and those members covered by the Police, Fire, Service, and AFSCME Union contracts, who work more than forty hours in any one week shall receive overtime compensation for such additional work at a rate equal to one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular hourly rate for such members.
(d) The Road Superintendent of the Service Department of the City of Willoughby Hills, when working more than forty (40) hours in any given week shall receive overtime compensation for such additional work at a rate equal to one and one-half (1-1/2) times his regular hourly rate and shall also receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times the hourly rate for any hours worked over eight (8) in a twenty-four-(24) hour period as a result of an emergency, such as snow removal or other assignments as approved the Mayor and/or Service Director.
(e) In addition, the Road Superintendent will receive call-in pay of two (2) hours when they are called in to work at times when they were not scheduled to be on duty.
