A tree or trees shall be planted on each lot or parcel of land upon which a structure is built in any single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, or industrially zoned lot in the City and in accordance with the following schedule:
(a) The required tree or trees shall be planted within one year of the date of occupancy of the structure.
(b) Trees shall be selected from the varieties set forth in Section 943.04 and shall be a minimum of one and one-half inches in diameter.
(c) All trees required hereunder shall be planted by the City or its designated contractor. All trees planted shall carry a guarantee of one year from the date of planting.
(d) All trees required to be planted by this section shall be located within the required set back area of the zoning classification in which the tree is to be planted. The location will be established by the landowner, subject to the approval of the City.
(e) A fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each eighty feet of frontage or any portion thereof shall be paid by the landowner to the City. The amount to be paid shall be determined by the City's Building Department and shall be paid to the department prior to the issuance of any building permit for the structure to be built.
