(a) The plan and schedule of numbering buildings now or hereafter erected within the City which is attached hereto and made a part hereof is approved.

(b) The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a plan and schedule of numbering buildings which are presently erected and to which no street number has been assigned pursuant to the plan and schedule approved in subsection (a) hereof and such Engineer is further authorized and directed to prepare a plan and system of house and building numbering for buildings which will be erected and constructed after the effective date of this section

(c) Until such time as the City Engineer has prepared a plan and system of house and building numbering pursuant to subsection (b) hereof, the Building and Zoning Inspector is hereby authorized to assign temporary street addresses as building numbers, which numbers or addresses shall be superseded by any addresses or building numbers assigned by the City Engineer pursuant to such plan and system.
