The length, width and shapes of blocks must be appropriate for site conditions and the type of development contemplated. A maximum block length of 660 feet is recommended, and block lengths of more than 1,500 feet are prohibited. Blocks must have sufficient width to accommodate two tiers of lots of appropriate depth between street lines, except that blocks accommodating one tier of lots may be allowed, subject to the double-frontage lot requirements of § 154.103(C).
