(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to resist any officer of the town in making any arrest, or to rescue or attempt or threaten to rescue any person who has been arrested, or to incite or attempt to incite others to oppose or resist an officer in making an arrest or to rescue any person who has been arrested.

(B) Any able-bodied person who, being called upon by a town officer to aid in the arrest of another person, who shall fail and refuse to render assistance, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
