161.22 INTERPRETATION COMMITTEE.

(a) There shall be created a three member Committee, consisting of the Mayor, the City Attorney, and the City Auditor, which shall serve as the final interpreter of provisions of this chapter and the current and prevailing salary ordinance. Any employee, department head or City official who desires an interpretation of any section of the Administrative Code shall submit his request in writing to the Mayor's Office. The Mayor shall convene the above Committee as soon as practical to consider the request. The Committee shall respond in writing with its interpretation, which decision shall be final, but the Committee shall not be required to provide an analysis or explanation to the requesting party if it deems that such a response is inappropriate.
